Collection: Elliptical Trainers

Elliptical trainers cut impact on the joints while still working the legs, and on total body models, the arms and shoulders too. Our lineup covers total body, lower body, adaptive motion (AMT), arc trainer, and cross-trainer formats. Precor makes up most of the collection, with additional models from Life Fitness, Star Trac, Cybex, TechnoGym, Matrix Fitness, FreeMotion, Keiser, and ProMaxima. Every elliptical currently in stock is refurbished.

If you're shopping specifically for pre-owned commercial cardio, browse our used and refurbished ellipticals collection for the current refurbished inventory in one place.

Elliptical, AMT, or arc trainer, which is the right fit for your floor? Our elliptical vs. AMT vs. arc trainer comparison guide breaks down the real differences.

Types of Elliptical Trainers

1

Total Body Elliptical

Moving handlebars add upper-body work to the leg motion, so members get arms, shoulders, and legs in one machine. The most common elliptical format on commercial floors.

2

Lower Body Elliptical

Fixed handlebars keep the focus on the legs only, with one less moving part to maintain than a total body unit.

3

Adaptive Motion Trainer (AMT)

Stride length and direction adjust on the fly, so one machine can move like a walk, run, climb, or elliptical stride. Precor's AMT and Open Stride line makes up this category in our lineup.

4

Arc Trainer

A different pivot geometry than a true ellipse shifts more of the work into the glutes and hamstrings, even at low speeds.

5

Cross-Trainer

A moving-handlebar elliptical built for a standard cardio row, sitting alongside treadmills and bikes.

Buying Considerations

  • High-turnover general cardio floors: total body or cross-trainer formats are the safe default. Most members already know how to use one.
  • Members wanting workout variety without extra machines: an AMT lets one machine cover walk, run, climb, and elliptical strides.
  • Rehab or low-impact-focused programming: an arc trainer's pivot geometry keeps more load on the glutes and hamstrings at low speed.
  • New vs. refurbished: every elliptical currently in this collection is refurbished. Check pivot arm bearings, ramp wear, and console function closely. Every unit we sell is inspected and tested before shipping, and we can source new units on request.
