Upright Bikes

Upright bikes keep the pedal-forward, seated posture of a standard bike, with a smaller footprint than a recumbent. Our lineup runs from standard console models to a fan-resistance dual-action bike and a connected, studio-style model. Most of our upright bikes are refurbished, from Precor and Life Fitness, alongside Octane Fitness and the connected Echelon Connect EX-7S.

Types of Upright Bikes

Standard Upright Bike

A seated, pedal-forward position with a console tracking time, distance, and calories. This is the space-efficient default for a general cardio floor.

Studio-Style Connected Bike

Closer to a road bike in geometry, paired with a touchscreen built for streaming and on-demand classes instead of a bare LCD readout.

Air / Dual-Action Bike

Moving handlebars add an upper-body component to the pedal stroke, with resistance coming from a fan instead of a magnet.

Buying Considerations

  • Tight floor space: upright bikes take less room than recumbent bikes, so you can fit more cardio stations in the same footprint.
  • Members asking for class-style programming: a connected, touchscreen upright fits a streaming or on-demand format better than a basic console.
  • Full-body interval training: an air/dual-action bike adds arm handles so members work upper and lower body in the same set, which a pedal-only upright can't do.
  • New vs. refurbished: most of our upright bikes are refurbished. Check pedal and crank play, seat post adjustment range, and console function closely. Every unit we sell is inspected and tested before shipping.
