The Matrix S-Drive isn't a standard treadmill, it's a self-powered performance trainer that combines a motorless treadmill belt, a sled-push station rated up to roughly 270 pounds of resistance across eight settings, and parachute-style resistance in one compact unit. Athletes can move forward, backward, or laterally across its track, closer to training on an open field than on a conventional treadmill. Because it's self-powered, it doesn't need to be wired into an outlet, which gives facilities more flexibility in where it's placed.
