The TRUE Fitness Helix Trainer moves in three planes rather than the simple forward-and-back path of a standard elliptical, adding a lateral, side-to-side component to the stride. That extra plane of motion brings in muscles a typical elliptical or treadmill mostly skips, including the inner and outer thighs and stabilizers around the hip.
